To flatten the curve against COVID-19 cities across the nation have been under shelter-in-place orders. As our cities begin to open up in a tiered approach and social distancing restrictions are cautiously eased, parents continue to face the overwhelming challenge of balancing work responsibilities from home (or in altered work environments) and implementing distance learning curriculum for their children. And there is no end in sight. Families are facing the reality of continued uncertainty when it comes to childcare as camps are cancelled, daycare centers are only reopening at partial capacity and no one can say for sure when schools will open again.
In order for employees to get back to work, for them to drive our economy into recovery mode and beyond, they must first know their own childcare is secured. This has created an unprecedented need for short-term, expertly vetted, affordable in-home childcare and virtual homeschool services.
In response to this crisis, a group of small childcare staffing business owners with decades of combined industry experience providing corporate sponsored backup care to Fortune 500, mid, and small sized companies came together and formed a consortium. Their goal? To provide companies with a simple, customized and cost-efficient way to offer safe, local in-home childcare and virtual School@Home support solutions and to their employees.
The One to One campaign was born from the shared desire of these industry professionals, all mothers, to provide local solutions to a national problem.
