As a result of COVID-19, schools are requiring distance learning, daycare center space is contracting due to social distancing requirements, and the country's au pair program has been suspended. Childcare is a paramount concern for working parents and their employers. Facing the overwhelming challenge of balancing work responsibilities while managing remote learning for their children, working parents are stretched thin. And there is no end in sight.
For employees to get back to consistent, focused work, to drive our economy into recovery mode and beyond, secure, safe childcare is vital. An unprecedented need for expertly vetted, affordable in-home and virtual childcare and homeschool services has never been as critical.
In response to this crisis, a group of small business owners in the childcare staffing industry, with decades of combined industry experience providing corporate-sponsored backup care to companies large and small, came together and formed a consortium. Their goal? To provide companies with a simple, customized, and cost-efficient way to offer safe, local in-home childcare and School@Home support solutions to their employees.
The One to One campaign was born in April 2020. From the shared desire of these industry professionals, all mothers, to provide local solutions to a national problem, One to One has been successful in reaching companies who want to get their working parents back to work and help ease their burden. Family Care Benefits are needed by employees now more than ever.
